Intro to Acting Training

If you are serious about pursuing a career in acting, why not join us on the weekend of the 15th and 16th of April for our Intro to Acting Training weekend?

This weekend-long workshop will offer an insight into the BA (Hons) Acting course offered by the MGA Academy of Performing Arts and will primarily focus upon the development of a professional acting skillset both for screen and stage.

Saturday 15th – Sunday 16th April
10am – 4.30pm each day
Venue: The MGA Academy of Performing Arts, Balgreen Campus

This weekend has been designed for those in S4 and up who may be considering a career in the arts and who may have built up a range of experiences in youth theatre, drama within education or within student/community-based productions.

The course will be led by members of the MGA Academy Acting Faculty from the BA (Hons) Acting programmes with participants also receiving the chance to undertake a mock audition over the course of the weekend.

This is a fantastic opportunity for participants to develop their skillset at an institution with a proven track record in producing graduates ready for a successful career in industry.

Graduates recent work in TV/Film has included:

• River City (BBC)
• Nova Jone (BBC)
• Archie (ITV).

Recent graduates have also performed in leading roles in London’s West End including:

• Allegiance

Graduates have also gained employment working with across Scotland with theatre companies including:
• Dundee Rep
• Perth Theatre
• Traverse Theatre
• National Theatre of Scotland
• Framework Theatre.
