Dr Michael Kirkland Arrives at MGA!
Dr. Michael Kirkland has arrived in Edinburgh to lecture our Full-Time students, consult on the re-structure of our Actor Training programmes here at MGA and direct our end of year production, Flashdance.

Dr. Michael Kirkland is a professor in the Department of Theatre Arts at Regent University specializing in acting, directing and stage combat. He is a member of the Actors Equity Association, Screen Actors Guild, and is a certified teacher through the Society of American Fight Directors.
Dr. Hill-Kirkland has worked nationally as a professional actor, director and fight director. He guest taught at London’s Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts and the Birmingham School of Acting in the U.K. At Regent, Dr. Kirkland is the on-site coordinator for the Virginia Beach BASH, an annual regional stage combat workshop sanctioned by the Society of American Fight Directors. He teaches courses on the Meisner approach to acting, unarmed combat, rapier and dagger, advanced directing and weapons of the stage.
